We're the team behind
the
infrastructure.
Founded in 2011, Codecanis has spent 13 years in the trenches of FinTech, AI, and Blockchain engineering. We don't do decks. We do code.

How we got here.
-
2011
Founded
Codecanis started as a two-person consultancy. First client was a regional bank modernizing its core.
-
2015
First FinTech scale
Landed our first capital-markets client. Built a real-time trading data pipeline processing 40M events/day.
-
2018
Into blockchain
Ethereum was maturing. We wrote our first production Solidity contracts and haven't stopped since.
-
2021
AI/ML goes serious
Transformer models changed everything. We built our ML practice from scratch โ now our fastest-growing team.
-
2024
Expanded globally
28 engineers across 3 continents. Remote-first from day one, now a feature, not a constraint.
-
2026
Now
84 projects shipped across 6 countries. 21+ live case studies. Same principles, sharper execution.
Engineering credibility
isn't built from slide decks.
We started Codecanis because we were tired of agencies that promised "engineering excellence" and delivered PowerPoints. We've been engineers before we were founders, and that changes everything about how we work.
We don't bid on every project. We engage deeply with a small number of ambitious teams each year โ because focus is how you produce systems that actually hold up under pressure.
Our clients build infrastructure that processes billions of dollars, governs digital assets, and runs AI models at scale. Those aren't side effects of our work โ they're the point.
We're not chasing the next trend. FinTech, AI, and Blockchain are 13-year bets we made when they were still considered niche. The market caught up. We kept building.
What we stand for.
Transparency
You will always know where your project stands. We share good news on Fridays and bad news on Mondays โ never the other way around. No smoke, no mirrors, no filtered demos.
Craftsmanship
Code is a craft. We write systems meant to outlast the sprints they're born in. Every architecture decision is deliberate. Every abstraction earns its existence. We're proud to put our name on what we ship.
Velocity
Speed is a feature. We don't believe in 18-month projects when 90-day launches are possible. Velocity comes from discipline โ clear requirements, small PRs, and a bias for shipped over perfect.
Ownership
We act like owners because that's the standard we hold ourselves to. If a bug shipped, we fix it. If a deadline slips, we own the reason. We don't finger-point. We solve.
Engineers, not account managers.
Every person at Codecanis has shipped production code. No exceptions.
Umair Ali
CTO & Co-founder

Marcus Webb
FinTech Lead
Ex-Goldman Sachs engineering. Specialises in low-latency trading systems and regulatory compliance.

+ 22 more engineers across FinTech, AI, Blockchain, and Cloud.
Work with us.
We take on a small number of engagements per year. If you're building something that matters, let's talk.
